Hyperbaric Oxygen therapy involves breathing 100% oxygen in a pressurized tube (referred to as a “chamber”). Inside the chamber, your lungs can transfer more oxygen than would be possible when simply breathing in a normal environment. Patients typically experience a 5x oxygen increase in the chamber, which helps to overcome healing deficits and promote healing.

Available at all Arizona Wound Centers locations, hyperbaric oxygen therapy is used for many types of wounds, from trauma wounds to ulcers to diabetic-related wounds. This therapy is reimbursed by Medicare and other insurance providers for many approved indications.
